Well......I'd say that the stock heads (unported?) and maybe inefficient shifting are holding you back.

1/8 mile time roughly equates to a high-12/low-13 second car in the quarter.

What was your MPH at the top end of the track?

That sounds a little fast for boltons. What gears and tire?

I think you need to learn how to drive, no lift shifting is the only way to go, what rpm were you shifting at?

No lift shifting aka powershifting aka holding the gas petal on the floor when you shift by just basically slapping the clutch with your left foot and hitting the next gear in milliseconds. Start out on the street by lifting to 1/4 throttle and shifting fast, then as you get confident 1/2 throttle, then 3/4, the full. You'll get to the point where the nose doesn't even drop when you shift. And you need to spin that thing to 6300 at least.

Listen to my 2-3 shift on this video, first race, all you hear is the tires chirp no rpm drop, that's a powershift, my 1-2 was not at all, 4th I missed the gear so disregard that.

The fastest bolton Impala managed 7.8 in the 1/8th and the fastest bolton f-body was several tenths faster than that in the quarter so maybe 7.6 in the 8th???? Maybe someone knows where a copy of those slips is?

There are a lot of bolton cars that will blow the doors off of cheap strokers like this which are a common mistake.

This poster deserves credit for admitting his mistake, too many defend their mistakes which just keeps the next group of newbs thinking it was a good idea.

Pretty sure since he ran an 8.3 in the 1/8 then he'll definitely be faster than low 13's in the 1/4. At least mid 12's.
