Default Patriot extreme valve springs discontinued. What spring should I use?

Well it appears that the Patriot extremes are no longer available to us LT1 guys. So what quality spring of similar spec should I use instead?

Currently, the Patriot extremes have been in my motor since 2008 with maybe 20K miles of use and are running perfectly fine as far as I can tell but I have been thinking of replacing them just to be safe.

I also have the ability to run any LS1 spring since my guides were machined down to 1/2" the last time I had head work. Also I don't mind paying more for a truly quality spring.

Thoughts?

Lunati has really good dual springs for LS1's....I would have gotten them myself, but wanted something that that would go in with no modification, so went with the Beehive voodoo series they sell instead. As a plus, either is cheaper than the Patriots.

Extreme springs: http://www.briantooleyracing.com/660...l-springs.html

My Platinum springs which feature better durability: http://www.briantooleyracing.com/660...l-springs.html

Both drop right in place of the old Patriot Gold or Xtreme springs.

Thanks for this reply.
These actually look the same as the Patriots. Do these springs come from the same manufacturer that provided Patriot or are they really different? What has been done to make the platinum set better?

Thanks again.

My Extreme springs came from the same manufacturer who made them for Patriot.

The two springs go through different heat treat and coating processes that allow my Platinum springs to hold their load longer.

When the existing inventory of Extreme springs are depleted they'll be dropped from my product offerings.
