Default Need help deciphering data log... rich or lean?

Hi guys,

Finally got the car back together this last weekend, and I took her out for a spin and logged the drives. The car runs poorly in open loop -- backfired once and generally ran like a dog. Once it kicked over to closed loop, the performance was alot more responsive -- like how it used to be.

However, when I went over my log, i noticed some things stand out -- for one, i had moments of spark retard (which i didnt have before) and secondly my fuel cell trims only stay near 128 on deceleration -- the rest of the time they are showing as "lean" so the computer is adding fuel to compensate.

Can anyone help me interpret this data? Below are the links to my files, they are stored on my drop box:

TEST 1

TEST 2

On test 2, I had no spark retard, although the fuel cell trims remained. What can I do to amend this?

Thanks!

Tyler W.

It's a .uni file format. Can't open it without the software. Post some screens.

Looking at TTS Data MAster log 1 there are multiple data errors and a couple DTC's and data errors

Rec# 943 Malf 11 MIL lamp fault
Data Error

Rec# 947
Malf 16 lo-res fail
Malf 97 4000 PPM VSS circuit fault

There was also a data error

Rec 1268
Malf 36 Hi-Res Fail

Rec 1292
Malf 29 EAS Electrical fault

Rec 1798
MALF 95 Oil Life Lamp Fault
Data Error

Rec 1899
Malf 81 Shift B Soloniod Fault

Not sure why you are getting so many data faults. There are a ton of them. Not sure if the DTC's are real or not. I don't have enough experience with data master other then my own personal and I don't get data errors like that with a tuned 95 PCM.

Log 2 has the same data errors and DTC's to go along with it including
MALF 44 Left O2 Lean and then Malf 45 Left O2 Rich and Malf 34 Map Low. All seem to be associated with data errors.
This is the way it reads on Data master V 4.0.1
