Buy a bbk 52mm throttle body lt1 trans am worth it?
Hello everyone I am considering buying a local 52mm bbk throttle body that has come up for sale. I am wondering if I will notice a difference if any? I have read in different places its either yes I love my 52mm bbk and others say it was a waste of money. Currently this is how my car is setup. 96 trans am ws6 with ram air. Power tune from pcmtuners. Mid length headers with no emissions egr delete. No cat 3 inch pipe off the y pipe all the way back to a magnaflow 3inch catback. 3:73 Gears in the rear end.

Really not worth it on a bolt-on car. If it's super cheap (less than $50) then maybe. BBK throttle bodies tend to give more problems than good. The IAC hole is the biggest thing. Others can chime in on that.
I'd save my money personally.

Yea, as mentioned, spend the money elsewhere unless you are doing it only for looks. It's not needed until you are making 100+ hp over stock; even then it's cheaper and you'll have less issues with a STOCK TB ported out to 52mm (that's what I run) The BBK looks pretty and shiny though

TPIS does a nice job on upgrading the stock TB but its almost 300 bucks. Take a look: http://www.tpis.com/parts/view/45
