Default Help with selling LT1

For the past 3 years I have had a completed LT1 sitting in my living room on an engine stand after I built it and was going to swap it into a 92 Camaro. I've lost interest and have decided to sell. I honestly don't know what I should ask for it, but if you all could give me a general idea that would be very helpful.

Parts consist of:

355 LT1 2 bolt block
Block was line honed/decked/stroker clearanced
Stock Heads
Delphi 42 lb/hr Injectors
ARP Rod Bolts
ARP Main Studs
Lloyd Elliot Stage 2 Cam 226/234 .565/.565 109 LSA
Comp Cams Valve Springs
Stainless Valves
SRP Forged Pistons
Eagle H-beam 6.0 Rods
Comp Cams Ultra Pro Mag 1.6 rockers
BBK 52mm Throttle Body
Aeromotive 13106 - Fuel Pressure Regulator
Intake Ported To 58mm
Fully Balanced

No valve covers, or optispark

While it's in your living room, put a piece of glass on top of it and you will have an interesting conversation peice for a coffee table.

Seriously though, no way you'll get 2k.....I paid 2k for a fully forged 383 shortblock with a new MSD opti, 7qt pan, and a bunch of other goodies, granted it didn't come with heads, but stock heads are worth maybe $200. I'd ask around $1300 and be happy to get $1000, you will take a hit on what you spent, LT1's go for cheap when you could get a LS for about the same.

Just making sure you indeed bolted up the tin baffle before mounting onto the block, yes?

Uh......no .

Not if they've been reconditioned with new (quality) valve springs and Ultra Pro-magnum rockers installed.....

OP.....put it on multiple forums for $3000 + shipping.....and see what happens.

Play up the fact that this puppy is ready to be dropped in, as is. Be prepared to give rocker ratio and valve spring specs/part number. Be prepared to negotiate, depending on the degree/urgency you need this gone.

BTW......were the heads ported? If so.....by who? And if so.....say so!

Also.....shipping a long-block will cost $300 to $400 via UPS Freight.

Might take a week to sell.....might take 6 months, like my forged stroker short-block nearly did.

Good luck!

KW

Thanks for the input. I'll take your advise and put on some other forums.

Intake is just sitting there, Heads not ported. Intake Hasn't been bolted on. tin baffle would obviously go on before doing that.
