Default advice apreachiated

i currently have a 96 caprice with the 4.3 liter and have always wanted to drop the lt1 in it. a call from the local boneyard came through and they have a wrecked 94 roadmaster. kinda liking the idea the more i think about the engine (doubt many roadmaster owners drag and hammer it out like a vet or camreo) would like for it so chances are it could be in pretty good shape. but now tryin to consider all the optioms as far as installation and preformance. its kinda a daily driver dont really see myself on the 1/4 mile but would like it to preform and sound tough. thinkin of a cam and heads and an exhaust upgrade. thanks for the time

Be sure you go over that motor very well before buying it, don't assume its good. Check the oil, look for leaks on the outside of the motor, take the valve covers off and check the valve train. Ask as many questions about the motor as possible. LT1s are getting cheaper and cheaper, price around your area so you know about what to pay for it. Good thing about your approach, you can build the LT1 while still driving the car as is. Do some research on the wiring harness, may need an LT1 harness also.
