I know they are autolites, I'll have to check which exact ones.

It's hard to find high RWHP cars on the street that are willing to run from a dig. But I don't mind. I ran my buddies Saleen with some kind of Rousch package last night from a dig. In the end it turns out the same. My Z faster than the blown Stangs.

Yeah, you are limited with the AFR's. They will only take certain plugs like Autolites. I ran Autolites on my old AFR 180's with great success. So far, results seem the same with my new AFR heads.

Thanks dude.
AFRs are known to be picky with their plug selection. Some people even pick up .3 in the 1/8th from the wrong plug...right OVA?

Edit: Here is an awesome post from our very own T-Shep that I have had bookmarked a few years back on AFR plugs for each CR/shot size:

1 cold (6) 11.5:1 compression n/a.....5553 (BKR6E)...................AR3936
2 cold (7) 12.5:1 compression n/a.....4091..............................AR3935
3 cold (8) 150 shot.........................4554 (R5671A-8)..............AR3934

6 cold (11) 350+shot.........................?................ .................. AR3931

I have been around 12.5:1 compression so I would use a 7 for n/a then colder per size shot I used. You guys with less compression need to scale back one size or two.....meaning if you are 10.5:1 compression use the 5 heat range for n/a and a 6 or 7 for nitrous.....etc.

Good luck!

TFS heads aren't that picky are they? AFR's are they only heads that I've heard this for.

Everyone knows if you roll race and beat a 10 sec car, then you must drive a easy 9 sec car.

Duh.

Its just the design of the AFR's. Really, unless you have a specific plug you have to have, what brand plug you have unless its a bad one isn't that big of a deal. Autolites are cheap, can be picked up locally, and are good plugs for almost any setup you plan on running.

But to answer your question, "no", TFS heads are not that picky.

Did you make it to the track?

Yeah I did. Never really got a good pass though. The track was busy and I think going with skinnies for the first time along with this new power combo the car was a whole new beast to figure out. I was happy with my times, and they would impress some on here that believe my car is only good at roll racing, but I'm gonna keep what I ran quiet until I get some more runs in and make a pass I think the cars potential has in it.

Indeed.

Everyone who has been to a track before knows that you will NEVER run your cars full potential the first time to the track on a new combo. Too many things change at once, and settings and techniques that worked perfectly before may not work at all on the new setup.
