Edelbrock heads and misc LT1 stuff suck, buy a set of stock cores, have them ported and win.
I am on set number two of ported stock heads and never done much more than bolt and torque them down, then go. Really simple and case closed. You can post all the links and reports you want, but real world disagrees with your findings.

Thx for sharing but u missed the OP's question: Has anyone used the Edelbrock LT1 Performer heads? If so, how did they work out? Did the intake bolt up OK? Did all the OE brackets, etc, bolt in place.

I wouldn't want to waste my money on ~$1000 heads when I can get $200 heads and get the same benefit. If he wants to port them that's another thing, but I think he would be wasting $800+ on the heads. Just my 2 cents.
