while I struggle to exactly comprehend wtf is the problem the OP has from what I can understand he claims the transmission can in fact go in gear and with the wheels off the ground, engine running, clutch out the rear wheels do not turn

So if that is in fact what is happening there is something seriously wrong with the transmission (broken internals)

other comments about "noise" also leads me to think that. Or the TO bearing somehow got FU

The current PP bolts used will bind the PP because there is no shoulder like stock or ARP bolts for the PP to "slide" on. This would make the clutch hard if not impossible to disengage. Also over TQ of the right, or in OP's case wrong bolts, will cause the clutch not to disengage.

I still don't know for fact that the transmission actually engages gears by shifting by either the shifter ball stud not being in the cup lever of the tranny or a major failure inside the tranny

Bottom line is tranny needs to come out and confirmed it actually works and the PP bolts need to be the right ones TQ to 22 ft lbs

OP

the PP bolts you listed are the right ones made by ARP. You can also get them from places like Summit or Jegs

well I removed the transmission today and confirmed that nothing in the clutch appears broken. The bolts for the PP are definitely wrong and I'll be ordering the new ones.

HOWEVER THE TRANSMISSION IS BROKEN!!!

When placed in neutral it sounds normal with free rotation and slight drag but when placed into any of the gears there is something wrong and no movement of the input shaft is possible. So obviously something was put together wrong or is just broken inside and it has to come apart.

Update:
began to take trans apart today and after removing tail shaft housing I was able to watch what was going on as the gears were shifted and realized that there was a missing C clip on the end of the reverse gear shifter rail which was allowing the Reverse gear to be engaged and then if you selected a forward gear after that it was still "connected" to reverse as you would imagine that makes it almost like a Auto trans placed into Park. Clearly my own fault as I did go through the trans about 5 years ago when I bought it and had upgrade shift forks etc. I'll be replacing that and hopefully buttoning it up soon to put back in the car.

Thanks for all the support on here guys I really needed it.
