Default idle surge when car is at temp

car is a 95 impala ss and i get a mean idle surge when the car hits running temp it feels like it's breaking up and is constant through the rpm band.... i'm thinking maybe ignition control module? any ideas?

From my experience when the ICM is going bad, it will "get hot" and the engine will die. When they cool back down the car will run. Then after awhile, in my case a few days, it'll die again. I'm sure it will get worse over time.

Do you have cats on the car? If so let it warm up and crawl under to see if they're glowing. If they are, they're clogged and need to be removed/replaced.
