Unless you can find a good used 12 bolt or 9in, youre looking at about 2k or better when everything is said and done. Even the used ones are going for ~$1,500, at least the ones Ive seen.

There's a Ford 9" rear assembly that's stronger, but more money. The best deal you'll find is on a used 12-bolt or 9", and IMO, you're better off just buying a new one.

I second that...but i think its worth it...just to put some higher gears is about 200, kit 100, and if u pay somone is another 200 and up...by a new 12bolt a lil over 2 grand and it comes with ur choice of gears...plus u can add slicks and launch at a crazy 4-5 grand...better 60 ft/ets....great for sleepers.

i had this problem to but some how can't say i came up with a 68' 12bolt with 411's out of a camaro and 2 12 bolts with 411's out of chevelles. but check out frankland they make strong rearends to little cheaper then mosser.
