Coolant bleeding with HVAC delete

Coolant bleeding with HVAC delete So I'm about to replace my opti. As everyone knows, you gotta bleed the coolant doing this. Well I did a FULL HVAC delete, including heat. I looped the water pump with a piece of hose. Due to the delete, I no longer have the bleed screws. So how would I go about bleeding the system?
I ran the car for a bit after I did the delete and all I did was run it for a bit with the cap off. Shut off, let it all settle throigh the system, amd repeat. Temos are reading normal.
Is that the right way to do this?
