LT1 opti?

LT1 opti? recently changed my opti plugs seals wires waterpump started up ran to town ran like a champ got home had a hose leaking motor started acting **** crazy ruff idle occasionally backfires cant give it gas acts like it will die ive been told if the opti got wet its pretty much toast looking for insight on the issue. thanks
That's not necessarily true. I thought I responded to this post already, but fix the leak and let the car sit for a day and see what happens. If it's a vented opti take the vacuum hoses off and put a shop vac up to the bottom port on the opti for a few minutes. If it's not vented you may want to go as far as to take it off, take the cap off and dry it. Would be a good time to loc-tite the rotor screws while it's apart if it hasn't been done already.
