Admin move this if need be, didn't know where to post it.

I have a mystic 95 z28 with ~120k miles paint is good interior is leather with power everything t-tops, car has th350 with 10" converter and quarter stick, telstar wheels with 275/50 nitto 555rs on back. Engine and tranny work great. Has aftermarket shocks springs sway bar. Comes with el cheapo nitrous kit, t56 with new zoom clutch, dart 230s converted to lt1, cc306, 1.6 rockers both bnib. A lot of other misc stuff I'm forgetting. Car needs a fuel pump and a front tire. I need a daily driver..... So WHAT'S IT WORTH? Lol thanks, Mitchell.

It depends A LOT on location. Some people can buy a stock LT1 z28 for about $6k in Indiana. I can buy them for $2500-3k in Bowling Green KY all day long. A z28 with mods like that would probably go for around 5k here if it was running. With having a bad fuel pump, most people are so cautious to where they wouldn't pay more than about 3 for it as it sits. Fix the fuel pump before you sell it because a lot of people assume that if you're not willing to fix the fuel pump, then that's probably not the problem with it, and most likely is much more serious.

I think you would be lucky to get $4500 IF the car is nice and the buyer none too bright.

Things like TH350 without a real racing history and PROOF of performance screams ignorance or halfassed basketcase. in an aggressive pure track car a purpose built TH350 can be a good thing but given the rest of the details here it just says the car was modded badly by someone who didn't know what they were doing.

It's not about what he knows, it's about what he reads. If you want it to be taken serious, it needs to be a detailed well written ad.

No offense to the original poster or anything but it's a big thing in ads. If I'm reading an ad that isn't well written, or half assed, or anythin along those lines, I assume the worst and wonder what the car is really like.

It's not an ad or I would've been a lot more detailed and added pics.

96caprice please don't comment on my post anymore, you have been annoying me on this site for years.

BTW I'm in savannah ga, and with the t56 and $1000 wheels $1000 heads brand new cam and rockers I just had a problem figuring what to ask for it all. Thanks to everyone with positive replies!

In all honesty, it's not just about the extra value into the car. You can have $3000 wheels and sometimes won't touch the value of the car. It's more of a demand. If you have 18" Fikse FM5 wheels, which is what a lot of people want, then it can definitely increase the value. But some people have $4-$5k on 24s and 26s and people like me would pay more to take the wheels off.

Just because you don't like what I wrote doesn't mean I am wrong.

You said needs a fuel pump and a tire, your not spending $500 to get it up and drivable is going to make people assume the car is a wreck and mechanically unsound.

A TH350 drastically compromises the car as a true driver in most people's eyes.

Cheap nitrous kit raises concerns over treatment when a very cleanly installed nice kit shows care.

You could get way more selling the parts and the car separate but bundle a car with a pile of parts and you wont ever get top dollar.

There are guys who have tried for YEARS to sell 10 second NA streetable cars for $10K and can't even get serious interest much less an offer.

You have a car that needs repairs to run 12s and a pile of mismatched parts to go with it, the 230cc heads aren't right for a 350 so for someone to make use of those with the car they are going to have to spend $4k building a shortblock. Add up $4500 I said for your stuff, plus $500 to get the fuel pump and tire resolved, then $4K for a shortblock to use the heads and we are at $9k already, to complete the car an make it comparable to the cars guys can't sell for $10k you are going to then need injectors, tuning, an aftermarket axle like 9" or 12bolt.............

Dude all you are doing is bashing and still haven't answered my question.... **** off.

I would take $4000 for the pile locally maybe throw in another lt1 on the stand for a little more. Would that be to much to ask guys?

If the body is sound then 4k isn't a bad deal, not around here at least.

A running but beat up LT1 can be had for 3k in my area. I got my TA for 3k needing a transmission and some little things, but it had over 3k worth of suspension parts and was tastefully adult modded with quality parts. I was willing to pay that though since I am not only familiar with the motor but love the style. Someone else may not want to spend 3k for a car that they still need to drop ~1500 on, since LS1s are so cheap these days. Once you get over 5k for an LT1 you are creeping into LS1 beater territory.

Honestly KBB the price then see what ebay is selling cars like yours and go from there. Remember just because you have added parts to it doesnt always mean you will get more money for it bc at the end of the day its an Lt1 and most people are wanting the LS1. Not trying to knock your car by no means but KBB and ebay should give you a good solid number to start out at and then add some on top of that and have a good reasonable bottom dollar amount and hope it never reaches that bottom number. Good luck with your sell!

My first thought is your suspension is shot, your alignment is way out of whack, or you curbed it and all the above happened. Secondly your fuel pump, w/out an explanation doesn't tell me you really know whether it needs one or not. If the car doesn't run, regardless of the condition of the body I wouldn't give you hardly anything for it considering I'd have to spend even more money to make it run right.

Kinda what everyone is saying here, If the car did not start at all, Myself, I would be looking at it like a roller so maybe around $1500, It's risky buying something that does not run, could have a rod knock, bad tranny, rear ect. Also as said, depends on the area, Around here in Texas, My friend bought a 97 firebird, Needed tires, fuel pump but he only paid $1500 for it, So it really depends on a lot of issues..

Not running the car is worth about $1500 or so NOT including all the spares you were talking about. Sell the other stuff seperately and you will be better off.

Mismatched pile of parts.
Flat tire.
Dead fuel pump.
TH350.
No pics, and cannot hear/see the car run, much less drive it.

I'd give you no more than $2000, and that's if the car is pretty clean for it's age and mileage.

OP, your best bet would probably be to fix the fuel pump and tire, put the T56 back in and maybe a set of street wheels/tires back on the car and sell it like that. A 97 6 speed car in decent shape with mild mods might bring $5k or so with that mileage.

Either way, you're not going to get much for a car that the buyer can't take for a test drive.
I can find good running, clean, stock or mildly modded examples around here with less than 100k miles for around $5k or perhaps even a bit less.
