You should be happy to have traction. I can't go full throttle until 3rd gear if its cooler than 70 degrees and it gets kind of old. .

Yep, newer lobe designs than the stuff made 15-20 years ago like the hotcam, I had the Voodoo 60121 in my old cam only setup and the sound, power, and driveability were dead on....ditto for the 60122 in my current 383 setup, I like it a lot. FWIW, I'd go with the smaller one on a cam only setup, the low end torque is much more fun to use on a daily basis, and it still sounded nasty

Had the same problem, it does get old and is actually pretty dangerous at 383 levels of power... and I have 315mm tires abd lots of rear suspension goodies.....what a difference a tire makes! Some Toyo Poxes TQ DR's made all the difference in the world, I can go WOT in first nary a chirp! It's a lot fun jumping somebody off the line at a stoplight and not making a bunch of noise and tire smoke drawing unwanted attention from Johnny!

I picked the Lunati 20080722. Have 4.30 gears and a stall converter Pacesetter headers. Seems to run decent, pulls right up to the rev limiter @ 7,000 RPM.

There are so many choices for cams and it would be nice to see some no BS comparative data. Had a Schneider cam in it before and it ran a couple tenths slower. I have the card for it in my shop if there is any interest in the grind.

Dont understand why your tires wont spin as my car is nearly the same (3.23 gears & A4). I had traction control problems even before my headers and had to buy some MT drag radials to hook at the strip - even at 2,500ft. I suggest look into a tune. My PCM4less was only $200 w/shipping and only 11 day turn around. Oops u need a chip for your ECM dont u - my bad. I think PCM4less may handle those also. As u are still looking for cams most will require upgrading vlv springs. If your interested in leaving your stock springs on the car/heads to save u some major effort i know 3 cams that u can swap w/o swapping the springs or torque converter. The Super Profile 98 by TPIS is $375 and u can add 1.6 rockers too: http://www.tpis.com/parts/view/82. TPIS report 20hp but that is the mfr.
I like the GM cam 14097395 and is only 180 bucks at summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-14097395. That cam and comp magnum 1.6 rockers are only $360 bucks total for 350hp and 400ft-lbs. Its used will less compression and lesser vlv springs on the 350 Ram Jet crate motor making 350hp and 400ft-lbs.
Then Lunati has a small cam and i think its their smallest cam for the LT1.
Just for your info as these cams may save u some work and $$ and headaches replacing the vlv springs and TC for larger cams.
