Few years ago a friend gave me grief for having my head work done 900miles away started doing the same but using a different shop after his "best guy in the state" screwed up a SBC valvejob by varying the valve depth .030 on some of the cylinder. Friend had checked PTV on a few cylinders, maybe even all 4 corners but still kissed a few pistons in the middle of the engine. Didn't mangle anything barely witness marks but still showed him ho hard it is to get truly good engine work.
