Guys, retooled it a bit.
Keep in mind for suggestions: Key words are BASIC and LT1! I don't want to make the list too complicated, and there's no need for drivetrain specs since the LT1 cars' drivetrain are very similar to the LS1 cars'.
Thanks for the notes, keep em comin...

The LT-5 was a Lotus/GM collaboration motor. It's a 5.7L DOHC V-8, not really very modable since not many people make parts for it. They run around 35 grand as a full assembled crate motor.
So, the answer is, just mod your LT1

On the LT4 cam you should make a note that the listed lift is with 1.6 rockers, vs. 1.5 for the LT1. The LT4 cam has less lift than the LT1, but the specs as listed make it look like it has more.
Also the LT5 doesn't really belong there. It's not related to the LT1 and LT4.

Also there's plenty of modded LT5s out there. It is true that they tend to not be the same kind of DIY mods like we do with the LT1 cars, because they were expensive cars and the owners had money, so many of them have been modified by the big names like DRM or Lingenfelter.
