Anyway! I'm going through and looking at everything right now, and checking for clearances. I will post up a pic if I can manage to take one with my god awful cell camera!
I figured...I will still be anxiously waiting for answers to my questions that I asked him though lol.

Here is a gallery showing what is going on:

Apparently it has been a persistent issue, it is the same on both sides.

Should my brake pad stop it from traveling that far back?

Are these new/aftermarket rotors? Seems like a design flaw.

Guys I may have used my 98-02 axles. I just read that they are slightly shorter than lt1 axles. This would explain everything.

98-02 axles MUST be used with 98-02 12" rear brakes.
93-97 axles MUST be used with 93-97 10" brakes.

The 10 bolt does not care which axle is used.

Bingo!!

There are THOUSANDS of 4th gen F-bods on the road, with properly fitting and functioning brakes. If YOURS don't clear, or rub, or whatever, then there's a problem with YOUR car. Investigate it, and fix it, DON'T butcher it.

You may not like what "RedHot" is saying, or how he's saying it, but he's NOT wrong.....

Yes there is. I used a drum brake shaft on my disc brake 10 bolt and the rotor dragged on the caliper bracket.
I used a shim under the rotor hat to space the rotor outwards.

Well, just got a pair of axles from a 96' z28. They are about an 1/8 of an inch longer than the ones in the car. Just the amount needed to solve my issue!

They turned out to be the wrong axles. Put some 96' z28 axles in it, and it solved all my problems.
