Timing Gear set with EWP I'm freshening up my LT1. I'm running an EWP and I want to eliminate the water pump drive gears. Is there a timing gear set that will allow for the opti drive pin or do I have to drill the upper gear? What"s the best way to plug the wp drive shaft hole in the timing cover? I know this topic has been discussed a hundred times but I can't remember.

In that case you can the cloyes 9-3145. Its a double roller timing set. You will have to grind the timing cover just little. Sorry I seen were you said spline and thought it was nonvented opti.
Better yet, run the Cloyes 9-3157. Single roller, same as the GM LT4 Extreme Duty but without the WP drive provision AND without the slack
