The only plan I have now is to fix it. Most likely going back to hydraulic.
Two lobes and rollers on the lifters are wiped. Metal is in the oil. As a precautionary action the engine is going to be torn down to inspect the bearings, cylinder walls and piston skirts.
Depends on if you can pull more weight out of that jalopy. Probably would show up on the chassis.

Same thing for me. In false light it still shows up, but natural light it's green these days. Paint is bad on this car anyway. Would like to get it repainted the same color at some point in time. IIRC the factory name for this color is Bright Teal Metallic. Here's a pic a few days after I bought it new:

Far as what went wrong.. likely the same as many other solid roller failures on the street - the lifters siezed up and took the cam with them. How often were you checking and adjusting lash?
The no maintenance hydraulic rollers are nice to not have to worry about. Easier on springs to. I can understand the switch.

At this point in time what I do know is my crappy LINGENFELTER PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING heads will be reused. I will be going back to hydraulic, but have no idea beyond that.
