Default MAF sensor cleaning

I was thinking about pulling off my MAF sensor and actually cleaning the sensors with alcohol and was wondering if any of you have seen any gains in power and or driveability when doing this?

I would think the sensors would get caked in oil and dirt eventually if never cleaned. I am also running a K and N CAI which gets oil sprayed on the filter.

a dirty MAF will cause drivability/performance issues. Oil filters can, if over oiled, leave crud on the MAF wires.

A Q tip and alcohol used gently will clean it
