TransAm..

if you are running a stock tune and now have:

52mm TB
3:73
160 stat

you really need to get a tune ASAP. Mail order will be fine with your mods but if you have a local "competent" tuner on a dyno even better.

The 52mm TB is going to affect your transmission line pressure so you want that adjusted or tranny failure can occur. Your "shift kit" may be helping in that area now assuming line pressure was increased but you still want a tune for the 52 and also the 160 stat so your fans come on at a lower temp

the 52 really isn't giving you any performance gain with your current mods so if you are not going to tune it now, just put the 48 back on.

*****, I was about to say the same thing about the 52mm TB and tune, but then realized he's a '93......4L60....not "E". He's okay with the Transgo kit.
But yes, still get a tune for PERFORMANCE!

For a '93 (chip PCM) tune, I'd get it from here:
http://pcmofnc.com/index.php/tuning/...hevy-camaro-v8

Alvin is the guy there. I've dealt with 2 bolt-on mod 1993's. One from Alvin, and one from a well-known more expensive tuner. Both mail order tunes were excellent, with very little gained with the eventual dyno tunes.

Went with pcmforless and wow ...what a difference. Thanks again for all your help. Going to the track Oct 18th in Pittsburgh Pa. Gonna squeeze in 1.6 RR and a set on drag radials. I hope 12s are no big deal. I'll post my stats when I get em !!!!!
