Default Car problems!

Well, I'm set back now. Last night driving my car started making a clunking noise underneath the car so I pulled over and stopped then it went away and I just decided to go home and it started making it again and when I was just about home it started not to accelerate. Felt like it was pudding along and pushing a little harder on the gas it would finally go into second. Any one know what's wrong or how to fix it?

Just from reading, I'm guessing it's an automatic?

Manually put it in first and see if it goes, then try second. I could be time for a trans rebuild. A video would be helpful here.

Fixed whatever it was. I took it on a little drive right around the block and just eased the gas pedal to give it more gas and that caused it to shoot out some grayish smoke and wala, it's fixed. I guess it got backed up and clogged up by something and forcing it to go faster made it burp and it's running fine now.

Haha that's kind of funny. Gj with the professional fix though! If it happens again, try catalytic converter
