Default lt1 Carb build

I'm in need of a few answers with my Carb lt1 build...

Where do everyone route their steam vent line on a Carb build?

What is the ideal size Carb for a stock lt1?

Will 1.6 roller rockers help performance any? And will they fit under stock valve covers?

I ran my steam pipe to the reservoir.

I use a 650

Crane Gold "narrow body" 1:6 RR fit under stock covers. Trimming the baffles though is simple to run any other brand

Do you run a pressurized resevoir? Otherwise wouldn't that act like a constant leak, draining the cooling system into the resevoir until it overflows. The steam line should go straight to the radiator, or could tee into a line post thermostat.

A bone stock LT1 wouldn't need more than a 600 cfm carb.

Why screwup a perfectly good LT1 by putting a carb on it?

If wanting a carbed SBC why go with an LT1 and the lone intake choice and likely tuning hassles of getting a carbed setup to not detonate with the LT1 compression?

Flip the LT1 and buy a cheaper smallblock with greater aftermarket support.

I used a radiator & reservoir I had from a B-body for the transplant into a 70 Nova. I had a LT1 motor which is why I used it, just converted it to carb
