He has some high SCR and is worried about shooting it all out the block.

There's not a single setup running standard pump gas 93/94/97oct that wouldn't be able to produce more power on e85. well unless you have ran out of turbo...

Can you make more power with better gas? Yes. Is it worth the cost? Probably not

Stop being silly.

Unless you are class limited, a street car would benefit from running a cheaper, higher octane fuel.

But, as pointed out you need the fuel system for it.

Good question. Not me, but I did find a local E85 pump today. I stumbled on it actually. How much E85 would I need to bring 91 to 100?

I run it on my 95 car. .. Open loop speed density tune, take the difference in stoich values and multiply it by your injector constant and put the value in for your injector constant. .. I'm running a 63.5 lb Deka. Touch up your ve tables and power enrichment table... at least that's how mine is.. a dumbed down fuel injected car

I haven't seen anyone mention it's oxygenated. .

The only down side to it I guess would be the swing in gas content but honestly I've checked 10 or so batches and it's been pretty consistent for me until November hits here in Michigan.

It's a great fuel for boosted , n20 combos and any high cylinder pressure na application for the guy that doesn't want to run vp 15 dollar a gallon stuff.

If you guys are running stock lines and tank and do convert to it, change your filter out often the first few fill ups... It will clean your fuel system our pretty good and can clog and injector/ filter.

Another big reason people run the gas is because they CANT make good power with pumpgas or as i said earlier there tune sucks the bag.

Thanks for all the input guys. But mainly Dudecoupe your making things a tad bit difficult. I could run 93 octane no problem, but as others said I do not want any knock, nor do I want to destroy my internals. 93 allows me to barley run my gate pressure which is right 8#s but not too much more than that. E85 gives me more potential to make more boost thus to make more power. I should be safe up to about 12#s until I need to worry about doing meth injection. I have a pretty decent understanding of E85 but I was wanting people who knew more and had experienced more use with E85 than I have.

The 80# sticks are fine. A single 255 ran out of fuel somewhere around 450rwhp for me. That's a good compression for E85 with boost, you won't be limited by the fuel at all. You can crank up the boost past 12# if you have the shortblock for it. Try a -7 plug, non-extended tip.

Thanks a lot. Thats very informative. So Im thinking that 2 320lph E85 pumps will be fine then. So all I need now is upgraded E85 fuel lines? i have BR7EF NGK plugs
