spark plug wire quesitons

spark plug wire quesitons hi guys. So I drove my car with many problems and about 20 min into the drive, it started missing quite bit. I drove it a bit today (after fixing many oher deals) and it was immediately apparent that it had a miss. Since last time, I change the plugs and did few other things, but I'm curious about plug wires.
I know that one of my current ones is burnt and needs to be replaced. My questions is, do the connectors on the plug wires go bad as well? One of the plug wires fees like there is some play in the plug end of the wire.
Do I need to replace all of them? Or do I need to replace just a few? GIve me some plug wire 101!

Same exact thing happened to me not too Long ago. My wire was touching my exhaust manifold and burnt it causing a misfire. So I changed them, and only pointed the boots down and strategically placed the wire loom so they aren't touching it anymore. Problem fixed
