Default Cc503 cam

I know this has been beat to death more than once, here is where i am at i have a 94 Z28, with a 3200 lock-up, Pacesetter Lt's, ORY Moroso CAI, PCMFORless Tune, Flowmaster Catback, with a shiftkit. I want to install a cam in the car, i have no plans with going ported heads, or anything like that. My plan is a CC503 cam, 1.6 roller rockers, beehive valvesprings, and a retune. This should be enough cam for what i want. I want to run the car down the 1/8 mile, we just lost our 1/4, the new 1/8 mile is alot closer to home which i like. What do you think? i think i should be ok with this cam.

Sounds to me like the CC503 should suit you perfectly.

Like Bowtienut said, sounds perfect for you. I run one in my car and I love it.

I am also looking for a cam for my LT1 Formula. The cc 503 is a good solid choice as well as a proven performer. I have narrowed my choices to the GM 846 222/230 with 509/528 with 1.5 rockers. Plus the CC 503 224/230 with 503/510 lift and the other is a Lunati 227/234 with 511/511 lift. I will be running 1.6 roller rockers.
Hopefully others will chime in with there experience.

I already have long tube headers on my 93 M6 Formula, so a cam is the next step for more hp. I ran a 14.1 @ 101 mph with a terrible 60 ft of 2.4 on street tires.
