Default P0400 code, EGR pressure sensor?

Guys just had a rebuilt motor installed in my 97 z. Runs strong and great but it is showing the code P0400, and I need to get the car inspected. Autozone told me that it needs the EGR pressure sensor. I do not want to keep spending money on this , so do you guys think that the pressure sensor is it?

The car does idle high sometime 1500 rpm

I doubt it, since there is no such thing. Perhaps your EGR valve is not working. High idle might be a vacuum leak. Post more details about your car and mods.

Just had a new rebuilt engine put in the car. All stock, and basically everything under the hood is new. Water pump, plus, wires, thermostat, temperature sensors, fuel pump, clutch. Like I said car runs great to me, I just need to get that light off so I can get it inspected.
