vacuum line help??

Default vacuum line help??

I have a 1994 z28 camaro and I opened my hood yesterday and notice that two of my vacuum line where not connect so naturally i assumed the went together so i got a piece of vacuum line and connected the two well that didnt work now the cars having rough idle and when i disconnect the two it runs fine again any help would be appreciated thanks!
ps i also noticed a hole on the intake but it seems as if something should be there?



what goes into this hole

The one goes int the elbow in your picture (with the hole in it sucking air). Look around good, I forget where the other one goes.

AHHA!!! apparently it is a venti opti I did not notice that well that explains why it was running rough lol i had a vacuum being pulled on it and apparently venti optis dont like that to much thanks for your help!!!!

The one closest to the front goes in that hole in the elbow, as stated (fresh air supply to distributor). The other one is a T connector that provides vacuum to the distributor (this makes it cross-ventilated, normal).

The other (open) port on that T connector should be connected to the EGR purge on the back left side of the intake, by the valve cover, unless the EGR has been deleted. If EGR has been deleted, cap off that open port on the T or switch it to an elbow instead of a T connector. Make sense?
