Need Advice on Transmission The transmission in my 97 Z28 is dead and I needs me a new one 
does anyone know what companies are good and which ones to stay away from, also if I'm eventually going to have up to 650 HP after I do all the mods I want which tranny should I get now stock or an upgraded one thanks in advance for any assistance

Depends on how much money you have to burn. If you get a built trans now, it will save the outlay of cash later. But if you don't take care of said trans, it'll blow up again. I bought a FLT lvl4, that according to Chuck would handle 600whp without trouble as long as I changed the fluid once a year (I only put 5000 miles a year on the car). Infact, I'll probably keep it behind my 5.3 for a little while until I decide that a transbrake is required for the class I want to run, or I blow it up....But even blown up, a rebuild is cheap through Chuck.
But I'm sure anyone will tell you their trans builder is good. Any one of the sponsors here would be a good place to start.....
