Default LT4 breaking hearts- Video

We went to the WannaGoFast half mile event in Ocala this weekend. We brought the default car lol...actually the 5th default car lol....which is a mildly built 1996 LT4 Corvette. Every car we raced, probably SHOULD have won but...by the luck of the street(air strip in this case)...street racing is street racing. Power is no guarantee of a win. Such a great time...more videos we have...

This is the car....

New Coyote mustang, stock.

C6 Z06..not stock...

BUILT C6 Z06...

and another C6 with "600rwhp NA" (will load in car tonight)

Cool vids and nice car.

What exactly does that "mildly built" LT4 consist of? How much power is it making?

Thank you. This is a heads and cam car, full exhaust....driven with fury but...honestly has a LOT left in it. Needs about another 850-1000rpms to be honest.

Love that C4. Nice stance, my 92 was about that low, but I had to raise it to stop scraping on everything.

Wow, my autocorrect **** the bed on that last post. Someone had removed the rubber feet from my stock leaf, not to mention sag over time. I was constantly dragging the front, even a big bump in the road would have me scraping the front spoiler.

It sure sounds nice. What sort of heads and what kind of power does it make?

Not that my car was anything spectacular when it was running, but the last few times I went to the track and did low 11's I had people nose diving into my engine bay looking for N20. Great feeling to tell them what they don't want to hear...

I agree, sounds amazing. Thanks!

The heads are the stock LT4 heads that came on the car....we just had them mildly milled, new valvetrain, rockers,..springs, etc. We have never dynoed the car...it really JUST became useable with the new setup...after about 6 bad optisparks. Right now,...the car has a SLIGHT break up in the rpms when you are in 3rd 4th and 5th...you can audibly hear popping. I don't think it is from a lean condition so...to me it is either in the tune,...or it is an electrical ignition fault.. ...cause of that we shifted very soon....so we have AT LEAST about 850rpms left that we didn't use so the car WILL go quicker once sorted out....and we get it on the rollers for a custom tune. Car also NEEDS a bigger airfilter,....then we want to make an airbox for it that seals it in. So, some small plans for the car, should net HUGE results.

To me, it feels like a stock C5 Z06 but....it's hard to tell, everything else in our camp makes way more power so sadly, the car doesn't FEEL fast. I would say maybe 380-400rwhp but....I could be wrong.

Thats awesome dude. We had a lot of smiles and laughs over it...also a lot of handshakes after we told them it was an LT...and it had no spray lol. Everyone called it by it's nickname too..."the green machine"... which was pretty funny since we have called it that for years. Great feeling indeed bro.

How often does this happen in Ocala? I've never even heard of it, I'm about an hour south. Hell it would be the closest racing, Bradenton, OSW, and Gainesville are all about 1.75-2 hours away for me.

Unfortunately , not often enough likely. This was at Jumbolair private airport...it is the WANNNAgoFAST crew...check site for next time around,...as far as I know, no date has been planned.

Lots of fun.

This was the first one they've ever had. Hopefully they'll have more.
