Default lt1 question
Thoughts on how fast a full bolt on Lt 1 will go with 3.73 gears and a 150 progressive shot, a stall and some radials will go .
If I'm not looking at 11s I will be going a difftent route. I'm pretty sure it should be 11s but I ant to make sure lol

11's will be a walk in the park if you get everything even close to working right.
My bolt-on 4000 lb car ran consistent 11.3's with the 150 shot and 4.10 gears and a 3400 converter. You're probably 300-400 lbs lighter, and your F-cam should produce a little more power on the spray than mine did.

My best friend had a 150 shot on his bolt-on M6 car and was able to run consistent high 10's. I think his best was 10.7. Can't recall the MPH. If you can launch the car effectively you'll easily be in the 10's, IMO.

I don't think i'd even worry about a progressive controller at that power level. If you have the right suspension, you should be able to spray off the line (Above 3K rpms that is).

Honestly you're gonna break that 10 bolt no matter what. Progressive would probably slow down the death though.

Run bias ply slicks rather than radials.

I'm gonna give you the best advice on how to not break your 10 bolt, the best and most simplistic way not to break it would be, don't have traction... I'd start saving up for a 9"

and stay very conservative on your stall / STR selection. With nitrous you don't need nearly as much help there as with NA.

Future plans would be a s40 . I know it will break more than likely . Just like to postpone it lol

No doubt, lol A friend of mine ran a 96 Trans am, 4.10 gear, slicks, Lt headers open, CAI, and a 75 shot in the 1/8th mile, needless to say after 50 or so passes he didn't even make it 60 feet before the rear end gave up the ghost.

I think you mean S60

That's what I have and I love it. If I break this rearend there is something terribly wrong. 35 spline axles and 9.75" ring gear should handle quite a bit.

Hell I broke mine just taking off from a stoplight under normal throttle lol.

Yeah the s60. Don't know where I got 40 from lol. If I do go this route next winter it will be getting a forged bottom end, New rear, built trans and a 300 direct port shot. Should be really fun then
