Default My finished 383

I finally finished my 383 build in September 2014 and it is a BEAST! I got a pcmforless tune for now to get it going. But either plan to go to tulsa and see if Ed wright still tunes or take it to the street outlaws here in oklahoma city area for the finally tune. And I plan on running a nitrous plate kit.

LE custom billet cam

Forged stroker crank

forged rods and pistons

engine almost done

383 finished

built transmission 4000 stall

383 lt1 in the car! nothing better than seeing and hearing something you hand built running

My next thing is going to be tubbing it and sticking a rear end on it either Ford 9 or S60 havent decided yet.

Looks nice! Are the heads 21* or 23?

I know Ed sold his shop/dyno but if you can get a tune from him...he would be my vote.

Nice! I've only seen one other street-going 4th gen that had a tubbed rear-end. What compression? HOw much N20?

Why would you tub it for such a mild setup?

Put some 5.13s or deeper in it and you'll still never have any traction problems.

Also, I'm betting within a year you'll have a direct-port and be hitting it with a 400hp shot.

Ed is getting going again he just doesn't have a dyno. That's where I'm taking my car to get tuned when I'm finished.

Ed got my vote. He received my PCM last Monday and I got it back from him last Thursday. Very fast turn-around.

I agree with the tubs, if you can, do it, and squeeze as big of radials as you can on the street and never worry about 28" slicks rubbing at the track. Nice setup!
