Default 503 Cam Kit - Valve Stem Seal

I'm looking at the COMP Cam K08-503-8 kit for my '95 LT1 and I see that the valve springs that come with it require machining of the valve guides to fit the teflon stem seals. I was hoping not to pull the heads - what are other folks doing? Different springs? Different seals?

That kit is not for the LT1. They have a LT1 section but I don't believe they make a kit.

IMHO I would not use Teflon seals. get the Viton ones with the full metal sleeves.

some aftermarket springs require the outside guides be machined down to .500 vs the stock .565 to clear the inner spring or damper. Typically this machining is done with head off of car along with machining down the spring pockets some for springs that are 1.800" installed height

you can get other spring kits that don't require any of this machining.

Comp or PAC 26918 bee hive springs

alex springs has a kit for LT1's
