Default Melted coil

Has anyones coil ever melted. My msd coil melted i replaced it but is there something i should check to prevent this from happening again

Probably just an internal failure resulting in meltdown. I have not seen one do that, either.

Well MSD has two different versions of the coil a stock replacement (made in China) and a performance replacement (made in house).. Looks like you have the stock replacement one and that's the one that gets the bad rep.. Click the link below that's the one you want..

I have not seen a coil melted like that. Maybe your coil was defective.
