If you haven't done this upgrade to your LT1 F-Body, you should (LS1 front brakes)

Like I said, it works just fine. I personally witnessed my current prostars on an LS car, they will work. I run a 5/16" spacer to clear my stock brakes however, same thing on my buddies LS car. LS cars have been running 15" skinnies for years.

I'm at work right now but when I get home I will see if I can find my notes with specific weights.
What I do know off hand is that the LS1 calipers are made from aluminum while the LT1 calipers are made from steel. If you pick them both up you can feel a noticible weight difference. The LS1 spindles have a little less material on them than the LT1 spindles do so there's a slight difference there.

Some weight measurements for anyone curious:
Stock LT1 Rotor = 5.9 lbs
Stock LS1 Rotor = 7.9 lbs
LT1 Spindle = 14.1 lbs
LS1 Spindle = 11.3 lbs
LT1 Caliper = 12.5 lbs
LS1 Caliper = 8.1 lbs
Total weight of LT1 setup = 65.0 lbs
Total weight of LS1 setup = 54.6 lbs
Converting from LT1 front brakes to LS1 front brakes save ~5.2 lbs per side for a total savings of ~10.4 lbs. Not the #1 reason why someone would complete the conversion but a nice additional benefit. *Brake pads were not weighed because the difference is negligible.
