I had thought that the vortec intake bolt pattern is the same, but upon further searching, it is not. Disregard I guess?

That is exactly why I asked.

You do know several folks who did the single plane swap either outright regret or say it wasn't worth it right?

I know, I was just curious actually. I actually plan on modifying/maximizing a stock intake as much as possible for my setup.

That was the plan but was going to try it myself. Have a few machinist friends so I'm sure we can get it done. How did the ports line up?

Im wondering if the vortec runner style better matches the LT1? I think thats what the OP was a little confused about in post #3.

Anyways Summit still has the Accel FI single planes in stock which may save u some machining costs: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-74139/. I dont think accel makes those intakes anymore but they are injector ready. $500 for the intake then theres the Nitrous Outlet air horn for the LT1 $400: http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/perform...ake-elbow.html

Or u could look at eldelbrock EFI intakes the regular style victor single plane $350: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-29785
And a super victor s/p EFI with the vortec style runners #350: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-29135. But u need to add fuel rails.

Edelbrock has some elbows for the LS throttle bodies w/throttle on the wrong side for us.

It might save u some effort and frustration starting with an EFI ready manifold. Good luck.
