Default stock speed limiter

Hello all, had someone tell Me that my 95z28 would cut out at 120mph. So today I push it to 120mph and sure enough the damn thing slowed its self down. So now, and of course you know what I am going to ask. Is there anything I can do to it to reach beyond 120mph without spending a lot of money on it. Cause I know those jet pro chips are like $299.00 or something. But is there any tricks or tips I can do to fix my little problem?

Thanks

Your car did not come with z rated tires from the factory. That's why it cuts out at 120. I believe you will need a tune for that not sure. My car had z rated tires from the factory and I have no speed limiter.

You can get a cheap mail order tune to remove the limiter for like $70. Lt1pcmtuning or madz28 or pcm4less can do that easily.

You can make a USB to obd cable for like $11, search scan9495 and it's in the documentation for the software how to make it( it's great software by the way). Then download the free 30 day trial of tuner cats and change the fuel cutoff miles per hour, super easy in cats
