Injectors on stock tune?

Default Injectors on stock tune?
So I'm getting my whole project finished up a lot of $$$ later.... So just got my 40# injectors last night. Set valves to zero went to start it up and it just didn't sound right. I think I might throw my stock injectors back on to see if it is in fact the injectors that's causing this. I was thinking it would at least idle with the bigger injectors.. But maybe I'm wrong?

You can't just swap injectors without tuning for them.

The engine does not have to run to set valves.

Running 40lbs injectors on a stock tune will destroy the engine VERY VERY quickly. Damage would be done before it even got up to temp for the pcm to try and compensate with O2 feedback and then it can't compensate that much.
40lbs means almost 70% too much fuel, wash down the cylinders so the rings can eat the bore, dilute the oil with raw fuel so the bearings can be destroyed, and hell I bet it detonates badly as well.

Like Caprice said, your injectors are opening and closing on the assumption that they only flow 24#s, you have 40#s and flowing almost twice as much fuel as necessary.

Most guys do a mail order tune or if You have all the hardware Email tunes can be done!!! So Stop where Your at & send that PCM to Moe Bailey or someone thats proven & close to ya... Moe came highly recommended by Nitrous Outlet so thats who Im usin Even if the last one was to just remove crap so I could start My S10 LT1 swap

I ran 30lbers untuned for a year with full exhaut, 58mm tb, 1.6 rockers. Car ran low 13s at the track with a beat trans and old hard street tires
