Some say it hits and others dont. Mine rubbed a lil bit. Put chain and sprockets, have oil pan off, put timing cover gasket on block with hi tak glue, apply thin cote off grease on chain, put cover on lightly and turn motor over, should see some grease or marks on cover and use a grinder with a flap disk and remove material till it clears

lulz... kids these days. want everything handed to them.

If you do the research you will get different opinions on the matter. Some claim they have no trouble with a double roller and do not need to clearance. Your best course of action coat the front part of the chain and sprockets with a thin layer of grease, lightly tighten the timing cover to the block, rotate engine and see where the contact is made. Clearance where needed and repeat the process.

*** WARNING *** this will be time consuming.

Fit and clearance it without the gasket, then install the gasket and be done.

Put on without gasket, see where it rubs, remove cover and grind until it clears...seems simple.
