Are you cleaning it with harsh products or getting brake fluid/brake cleaner on the parts? No issues with my UMI products.

Default powdercoating sucks

Not sure what you're doing to it. Powder coating can take a lot of abuse and stay good

Call UMI, they have great customer service. Try to contact the company before posting negative reviews, especially sponsors that are so active and helpful on these forums.

I've cleaned all of my UMI suspension with some simple green and a rag and never had any powdercoat issues, and my whole car is UMI

I bought all of my UMI crap used and the powercoating still looks great after a few years.

I'd recommend a 385 le2 setup to slow the car down. Should help make that power coating last!

Do you ever drive your car in salt? Or in the winter in general?

I have a powder coated tubular K member and A arms from a different company and drove the car a few times in the winter (in upstate NY), a few years later the powder coating was flaking off like you describe.

I had it all sandblasted off and painted with POR-15.

Powder coating seems to be infamous to have a rock chip expose some bare metal, then start to rust underneath the coating and flake off.

I think it was like $100. Way better than spending half a day doing it myself.

Pm a sales guy from UMI, someone posted the same problem in the suspension section, could have been a bad batch of powder coating, they replaced them.
