Default Advice on upgrading H/c/i?

Looking to upgrade my heads, camshaft, and intake. Any thoughts, opinions, and/or advice on what I should do or get?

But then again I'd like to get my suspension redone too. Maybe dropping it an inch as well?

If that's your trans am, it looks lowered already.

As far as the rest, what are your goals? Budget?

Well I was like half on the side walk. Haha. But my goals is to get to 350hp+ somehow. Budgeting, not exactly because I don't like to get what I paid for ya know. Also kinda but one part at a time slowly but surely.

LE1 kit will get you 350rwhp easily and it's affordable. No aftermarket intake is worth anything, if anything get yours ported by Lloyd as well.

I see it's hovering a curb, I wasn't referring to that. I was referring to the wheel gaps. Look at this picture of a Stock Trans Am, check out the wheel gap, compare that to your's. Big difference.

Start with the small stuff if you are going to piece it together over time. Get an OBD cable (this will be year specific, also make a sig with your car details for everyone here trying to help) a datalogging program and a tuning program if you can. Also, learn to tune (it's worth the time and effort).

Then bolt on's. LT headers (if emissions isn't an issue, other wise mid's). Cat back, gears, stall (if auto), and tune as you go (this will ease you into the tuning thing).

Upgrade your brakes, see what suspension mods are done already and improve where it'll help you most (drag racing or something for turning?).

The rear axle of our cars are inherently weak so plan around it (not super sticky tires) or plan on replacing it with something stronger ($$$).

Then when all that is done, LE1 package like Buff said. You don't need to touch your intake manifold or throttle body for your goals, leave them stock. Not sure on fuel injectors though, but that's something you'll want to do (if you need them) when you do the heads/cam package, that's also a good time to do the roller rockers too as the heads will come with new springs matched to the cam.

Say you went with a LE2 head and cam combo think the stock LT1, intake would be good.

I'm running an LE2 heads/cam now, stock intake and tb. I might gain 10 hp with the intake ported, another 5 with a larger tb..... maybe.

You don't need to upgrade the heads to get 350rwhp. A cam and valvetrain upgrade will get you there. If doing ported heads also I'd shoot for 390-420rwhp depending on cam grind.

I have decided to go with a LE2, i am going to get a ported intake and a 58mm throttle body, i was going with a LE custom grind cam but decided to go all out. I have a mailorder tune from PCM4Less, think they will be able to do a mailorder tune for a LE2 package? Here where i live nobody tunes the LT1's we only have LS tuners. Why i don't know.
