Default injectors

Thinking about buying 42 lbs injectors for my full bolt on 355 with a p600b and methanol, any suggestions whether that will be good enought to run?

Wow... I seen guys running 60lbs, well I thought wrong. Well here is my dilemma, I have the 355 on the stand finishing up the last little bit before the install. I have the P600B in the closet. I'm in the military and currently station in Hawaii the worst state to have hot rods. I don't plan on putting the the pro charger in till I get back to MN. I want the best out of the engine NA for now. Mods 355 bored and honed, forged eagle H beams rods and pistons, GM stock crank, cr 10:5.1, lunati Cam: Duration (Int/Exh): 282/290, Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 231/239, Gross Valve Lift(Int/Exh): .535/.550 LSA/ICL: 110/106, heads milled and mild porting, comp cam magnum 1.6rr, Holley 58 mm tb, pacesetters LT headers, Arp throughout. Does anyone think the 42 will be good or keep the stock injectors, and when I get home grab some bigger ones. Either way go bigger once I get home.

Back to the top, are the 24 good for my setup before I install the procharger next summer? Or is it worth it to grab 42 for now?

30s for now.

That compression is high for pump gas and boost but way low for NA, swapping heads with the blower?

110lsa is tighter that typically seen for boost with a blower it might be interesting, wouldn't try it for a turbo. Despite what you see online about boost cams being lumped together blower and turbo need different things. One has higher intake pressure, the other has massive exhast back pressure too.

If you are going to run any kind of boost with it ( say 10#) with 42s will need an FMU or some way to jack the **** out of your fuel pressure and then you are looking at a tuning issue. No way on 30s.

Go in the forced induction section for experienced posters.

15 years ago I ran 42# ford green tops, meth and an FMU with racetronix single pump and it didn't get the job done with 9# at 500rw. Back then the biggest high z injectors you could get were MSD 50s which are crap. I ended up with 72 and a versafueler to run them.

Today there are more options in the high z offerings. I think Denmah uses 60s or 80s in his stuff. Go in the forced induction section to see what works for you from guys who have done it.

Well, I guess what I'm asking is the 42 a good investment right now? With my current setup? Or will I be fine with the stock. Either way next summer I have to step it up for the blower.

If stock were big enough which they probably aren't they are 20 years old and likely the set has a significant flow variation.

30s have been used for very well dialed in 500rwhp NA, boost has a lot more parasitic losses so you can't use that number for anything boost wise, but 30s would be a good choice now.

I don't know why you are hung up on 42, they really don't fit the bill now or later.

Well I can get a set of 42 new for 150. I guess that's why I'm asking. 42 might be overkill will they work?
