Default 1997 z28 LT1 Pacesetter Longtube Header install and concerns?

Soon ordering longtube headers for my 1997 z28. Is there any complications with the install? Like fitting in the headers, room to get to the back of the engine, ground clearance, etc? Any information helps!

You'll lost some ground clearance, exactly how much depends on which Y pipe you use.

The install is much easier on a lift. Degree of difficulty varies, some go in easily others require jacking the motor up out of the mounts to create clearance. If you have stock manifolds now, plug access will invariably improve.

Be prepared to jack the nose way up to fit them in. I have the race version and Ory, no issues here with clearance on the k member or ground. Never have scraped them and I've had them for 3 years as a DD in MI and our awesomely **** roads

i had to jack up the motor and front of car to get them in doing it in my garage. Clearance isn't amazing (lowered on Strano's) but not terrible either.

If you're going the painted route like i did, be prepared for half the paint to be scraped off by the time you get the things bolted to the heads...

Don't bother getting "painted". Get non painted then have them Jet-coated.

My Painted ones are a custom rust color half way down the primaries where the elements come in contact with them.
