Victory meal!
I paid less than half for what they would have cost new but I did have to give them some love.
I'm usually not too concerned with under hood aesthetics but I wasn't going to install them in their coolant covered glory as I had purchased them... Thread Starter

bufmat, wish I could have gotten away with just steel wool!
Started with 400 wet/dry with Mother's polish. Then I would have gone to 800 but realized I didn't have any on hand. Did 1200 wet/dry with soapy water. Finished with putting some Mothers polish on the whole header and buffing it off by hand.
Obviously sections you can see got more loving than sections that you can't see.
Not to mention I had people say to me its damn near impossible to actually keep stainless clean if you drive your car, well I drive it whenever I can! Previous owner though said he had a coolant hose let go, which is why they looked like they did.

I didn't get this crazy on mine but I had read it to give me a general idea on how I was going to attack them. So if you have the time you can make stainless look ridiculously awesome again if its gone ugly.
