Torqhead 24x Link PCM conversion
Yeah, it is slick and it is nice to se someone puttin effort into the LT1. I just wonder what happens if 3-4 years from now you need a new PCM and Torqhead is no longer around. How does one go about repinning the PCM? I am not hating or anything, just throwing that out there. With the original 24x conversion, you just use any 411 PCM.

I dont have that problem, I repinned my harness and used the EFI 24x. What is the advantage to the Torqhead over the EFI Conn setup is what I am asking. And if the advantage is that its cheaper, then that advantage is eliminated if in a few years these modified PCMs are not available and you need one.
Again, I am just trying to make sure I have all of the answers, I am not trying to imply the setup is not good.

The PCM is fully warranted he will be updating his site shortly with current information.
The chance of PCM failure is very slight and shouldn't be a concern with the kit.

Since the TH website has no info on HOW the cam sensor picks up signal, I assume it's similar to the OEM Optispark? Meaning an optical disc?
I'm also hesitant about the now customized 411 PCM and how they got into it to re-solder connections.
What was your reasoning going with the TH setup over the proven EFI setup?

Price was my main reasoning. only $1400 for this kit ready to roll besides a tune. I have a 94, so I would need a new 97 timing cover for the EFI kit plus the kit, harness, coils, plug wires etc. This comes with everything even the coils mounted on brackets and plug wires, plus I don't have to re-pin a harness or spend the $800 for an already made one and have to put it in. Mainly price, but also the fact that its a complete kit and the ease of installation.

. Maybe about a year out......
