Did you see the pic of the wire? I got shocked once already and that was enough for me (as did the welder), the tingling in my joints from that lasted over an hour Anyhow, the wire was replaced and that exhaust cement is leaking in several places now I can feel around it without being shocked finally.

I'm taking it back this afternoon to give this fool one more shot at cleaning up his mess and re-grinding, re-welding it. After all this nonsense, it's still leaking I'll start saving up for Kooks long tubes; to hell with these crappy mid-tubes. It sucks having to buy (very expensive) parts twice and even more when it's also a full days work of swapping headers.

I've had to fix this issue for 2 friends of mine with Pacesetters (1 LS1 set, 1 LT1 set). I just welded the holes using a series of tacks around the perimeter of the hole to build up material, then finished up with a plug weld. I checked it for pin holes with a flashlight in the tube in a dark room. Both sets have been running for over 2 years with no issues, one set is in a DD LS1 WS6, the other is in an SCCA ITE (now GT2) LT1 Z28. Anyone that remotely knows how to use a MIG can fix this pretty easily. Find a new shop and get the current one to give you your money back. Try a machine shop or a truck service.

Wow, you brought it to an "exhaust shop" and they claim they couldn't weld it only to find out they never ground down the area....FAIL. You can't aesthetically/functionally repair that with it still on the car.

I'd stay far away from them.

This is a prime example of why I do my own work. If I F it up, it's either a learning experience or a success.
