Here is a side by side of the before and after. Like i said it's a different shade but I think it'll match the carpet and seats close enough.
This is still a little damp but a dramatic change from how it started. A little higher gloss than factory I think when it cures but it'll still be a nice upgrade for the price.
Planning to do the rest of the plastics tomorrow afternoon.
Went out today and got the speakers swapped out of the parts car. Picking up the headliner on Monday. I am going to finish restoring the rest of the plastics tonight. Next weekend if all goes well I plan to have the interior all back in except the seats.
I also picked up the transmission today. I had my transmission guy go through it. He put new forward clutches in, a shift kit, and a 3-4 upgraded z pack. Planning now to buy a tranny cooler, 3600 stall, and a poly mount for the tranny. After those parts arrive I should be getting very close to it moving in its own.
I finished up all of the plastic today. I have to say I am a fan of SEM. This console was much worse in person than the pictures show and it looks brand new.
Your doing a fantastic job so far. Keep use update often, because it's really interesting and I enjoy seeing the transformation from "this" to "that."
I think I'm going to try the SEM paint now. I kinda doubted it a little, but not anymore. Great pics of the plastic getting painted.

I highly recommend it. I was also doubting it but given the shape the inside was in I had to try it. I say the dark gray is a 95% match to factory. I didn't recoat the a pillars since they are right by the dash and may show a color difference more than the console would. If the weekend goes well I'm hoping to have most of it back in the car.
I agree. Just used SEM paint on some interior pieces for my 93 and that stuff is amazing. Makes the plastic look brand new and seems to be pretty durable
I also have another small project going on alongside the interior going back together this week. I heated the tail lights apart. I am planning to take a stab at using Brent's vinyl stencils and some tlc to bring them back to life.
I'm in the middle of my 94 camaro restore. Youre work is great, I hope to make mine comparable, but over a much longer time frame. Looking forward to seeing that finished.

Thanks for the kind words sir. I've had it close to a year but I've really stepped it up the past 3 months. I'm no pro by any means this is my first attempt at restoring one. Patience is key. I've thrown many tools so far. Lol. Keep us updated on yours! I love these threads I read all of them I see. So interesting to see each unique build
I got a little anxious on the lights. I went ahead and scrubbed all the components clean. I'm gonna need a toothbrush to get 100% of the dirt around the grids on the outer lenses. I'll finish them when the stencils show up. For now I painted the reflectors with a "chrome" paint because one light looked brand new while the other looked burnt. I figured this would allow them to match. More to follow when I can go further!
Not a lot of progress this weekend. I got held up with other things. The headliner is a massive step forward as you can see. Local guy did a good job. I got the 1/4 panel plastics back in, the mid row speakers wired in, and the console 85% done. One more decent day and I think the inside will be mostly wrapped up. I also am gonna recondition the rear seats and throw them back in. I'm ready to see this interior finished and go on to the next phase.
You can see the difference in the OEM color and the SEM color on the console. I'm hoping this won't be very noticeable once everything is in. What do you guys think? Worst case I'll tape off the dash and shoot it as well.
