Hard to believe it's the same car you pulled from the field. I'm sure the father in law is smiling from above!

Wow! I wish I had the know-how to do this on my car. Since I am going to have to pay a shop, I am realizing more and more that I need to keep the cost down, for the sake of a future family and planning ahead for them, instead of just my car.

It's so nice to see this car receive a breath of new life, to be totally refreshed to like new, and that it can be done! I look forward to my Trans Am's day but she will last a couple more years until then.

Great professional work!

im not sure it's "professional" lol it's my first crack at most of this. It's taken so long because I lack patience but it's close enough now that I want to push and finish it.

Well, there is a difference between "professional" in name only and "professional" as in meticulously done! I will take the later every time! It is coming along great!

thanks man I really appreciate that. I'm still not happy with some small things on the inside so I may spruce them up in a week or so.

Here are a couple more outside today. I'm done until next weekend. I got the plastics all done. Outside wise I like sanding and buffing the bumpers and wing and touching up a spot of two. Then it's back to my shop to finish up the small things and mount the new wheels!

Still have a fair amount of mechanical things to address. Header rubbing steering, steering off center, bent tie rod, and other small stuff but it's simple vs body work.

ill get better pictures tomorrow but I bought some deep dish zr1 wheels and an eibach pro lowering spring kit. Hoping to finish it up tomorrow. Also going to get my tail light harness fixed with tails in so it'll look complete outside wise.
Also still waiting in my hawks order for the antenna and random pieces to show up.

Finally got it lowered and wheels mounted. Still have to fix my tail light harness and some other stuff under the hood and inside. Looking to tint my windows this week also to finalize the outside looks wise.

This has been my favorite thread on the site. As much as it's great to see it almost done, it's sad that we probably won't have as many updates to look forward to. You should definably be proud of your work, the car looks great and I'm sure it'll be enjoyable. Great job!

thanks a lot man! I will keep kicking in updates. It still needs several small things done. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks. The paint needs a few small details fixed as well.

looks good! This color is crazy. In the bright sun it's almost orange but it's red any other time of the day except on a sunny day from 10-2 it's orange. Lol. Do you have 315's on the back?

they are basically glued/taped on. I pulled them off prior to all the sanding and just sanded it all down smooth like they never existed.

i got my bent tie rod fixed tonight along with my inner fenders back in. I'm waiting on advance to get lug nuts in stock for me and I also have to take my steering column out to fix a bent armature that is rubbing my header collector. Hoping to get the windows tinted very soon also.
