SES Codes and symptoms - need help!
Opened it up and tin 15 minutes had 2 SES codes: P0132 and P0152 - high voltage - which, if I understand correctly, means it is running rich.
I've also realized that I'm getting about 9-10mpg. There is strong fuel smell in the garage when I park the car and it is actually quite strong even when I'm idling while I'm out driving.
I don't know how much the power is down, as I only had the car for about 25 miles before storing it for winter and putting the new clutch in.
I do know it was tuned by solomon after having a rather large cam put in and it has no AIR or EGR.
It has a 50psi fuel pump and 30# injectors.
It doesn't seem to be running badly, but obviously, something isn't right.
Any help you can give will be SO very much appreciated!
in that case the 02 sees more air so pcm commands more fuel and it will run pig rich. plugs on that side of the engine are likely fouled also
1. The passenger o2 sensor was apparently free to flop around and partially melted against the headers. Doesn't appear to have melted the 4 individual wires inside, but did melt the corrugated casing and the electrical tape quite well.
2. There is a small hole in the the collector where the headers meet up with the Y-pipe...about 6" in front of the o2 sensor - on the driver's side.
3. There appeared to be fuel (maybe with some water?) spitting out of 2 other connection points on the y-pipe. Black liquid spitting out - smelled like fuel.
So, I'm planning to get the car into a exhaust shop soon and get those holes patched. I also need to figure out what to do about the o2 sensor wires. If they are not burned through to the wires, is it ok to use? If not, where does the passenger o2 sensor terminate?
I appreciate your help with this, fellas - learning as I go here.
Thanks to another guy on here, I realized my OBDLink reader was looking for the wrong o2 sensor, so that explains why it was flatlined at 440 v.:ebb:
Car still smells REALLY rich, so now I need to figure out why I'm getting P0152, the car is rich, and my gas mileage is poor. It's all part of the adventure, right?!
